NEED HELP CANT FIND REPLACEMENT PART

hi im new to the forum and im looking for a part for my dads truck, its 1977 GMC custom deluxe single cab short box, im pretty sure it would be the same as a c10, anywho im looking for a stock replacement of a rear crossmember on the frame right before the axle. i have attacked a pic from googled that i circled the part im looking for if anyone knows where i can order a brand new, i dont want a used one. thanks for anyone who can help.

not quite sure why you're insisting on a "new" crossmember like the one in the picture that you provided.  That crossmember is riveted on, you can probably find a selection at the scrap yard, pop the rivets off, hand the part to your local powder coat outfit, who will mediablast it and coat it any color you want.....it'll be good as new....in fact better, because it won't be an overseas, form pressed reproduction part.  It will be a real, restored, GM crossmember.

Otherwise, the part can be fabricated by any local and reputable sheet metal shop.

Porterbuilt makes high quality drop members, frame supports, and suspension parts for square bodies.....but they are nothing like OEM.

A new one is going to be a made in china piece of crap
Get an old one
If you find a squarebody in a salvage yard with the bed removed it should be easy to knock out the rivets with a sharp chisel or a battery powered grinder

I find that if you score an "x" in the rivet head using a cutting wheel first, then the rivet head pops off nicely and quite easily with a chisel.  Then just use a hammer and punch to push the rivet through.

thats what i wanted to know, we do have someone that will fabricate a new one but ill look into getting a good one from a scrap yard, thanks for the help everyone

Use a battery powered grinder and it will be easy at the salvage yard

i worked at the junkyard when i pulled one. i took torches to the whole frame and cut the frame out with it
