Hoop steps
« on: May 03, 2015, 06:31:16 pm »
I just bought a used set of hoop steps for my 86 k10 with dual tanks and I don't know where the steps go on the rocker panel. Am I to take the tank down on each side ? If I put them at the end of the tank will they be to far forward? I did not get any instructions with the steps. They would tell me how many inches from the back or front to mount them. I don't what to sound so stupid but I don't want to put them in the wrong place to look wrong or not able to use them. Thank you guys for any help

Irish where did you get those flares? Do you have them on the back? If you do can I see a pic? Been contemplating them on my white truck.

We installed some generic hoop steps we bought at a auto parts store
You can do it without dropping the tank

There is one small sheet metal screw that won't fit
Cause he tank blocks it.   But it doesn't support any weight
Don't know why it is on there anyway
