Power Windows '87

I replaced both my power window motors a couple of years ago.  Recently, my driver's side window started only going up part way.  I wait a while and then it will go up some more, and so on.  Eventually, it'll close.  Question - Is this motor going bad already?  Is there some sort of adjustment I need to make?  Any ideas?

I have a passenger window on an '85 Suburban that only goes 1/4 of the way down and then makes a loud noise. It does it once it goes all the way up too. I figured it was the motor so I bought a new one. How hard was it to change the motor because I can't see how to do it?
