Hazards do not stay on

Hey guys just fixing up an old farm truck i found and the hazard pull button on the column only stays on if i push it in and hold it myself!
Anyone who has experienced this issue before?
If so what are the steps to fix it?

Replace the turn signal switch.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

Lucky for me I helped a buddy fix his steering wheel column and he gave me an some extra parts from his chev so it won't cost anything
