I'm just getting started on this site so thought I would drop in here to say hello to everyone.

Long story short my Papaw (grandpa) passed away a few years ago, and after a long time seeing barely any use from the family back east I had his 1986 Scottsdale step-side shipped out to Montana.

I've got a ton of questions that I'm hoping some of you can answer and help me with.  I'll try and find the right forum's and if I put stuff in the wrong place just yell.

Here's the pickup.

I think its a k10 because it is a 4wd, however all the paperwork has that it is a c10, so not sure on that.

Perfect so far, Welcome from NW Indiana.  There is a section to put everything in and if you're not sure there is a section for that as well.  Nice stepper.

welcome from maryland. try your best to put things in the right spot but if you do mess up we will move it for you no yelling needed ;). but yes a 4x4 should be a k10, some people put 4x2 cabs on a 4x4 frame nothing wrong with that. the vin should tell you what it came as from the factory.

Welcome from California. It looks like a 4wd from the pic. Does it have a front differential? The front wheels look like they have the locking hubs.
