Chevy Truck Literature?
« on: January 09, 2005, 10:10:00 pm »
Guys,

I've got an 11"x14" folder that was a 1964 Chevy sales promotion/press kit. Inside it contains six reproduction color drawings of 1918-1933 Chevy trucks intended for framing. They are printed on heavy card stock. The inside front cover is titled "Portfolio of Historical Chevrolet Trucks". The inside back cover of the folder has the 1964 truck line listed in color including the new Chevy van and El Camino. Does anyone have any information on this literature, or know what I am talking about? I'm wondering how rare this is, or the possible value. It was given to me by a family member who couldn't remember where she got them. I'll post some pics of them tomorrow. Thanks for any insight.

Matt

Not sure how rare it is Matt, but I have the same thing.  My brother got it for me from GM if I remember correctly.  BTW, Where have you been?

I've been around, just not posting.  I've meant to send you an email, but seems I haven't done that either.  This Master's Degree is time consuming!  I should be done May '06!

I can only imagine.  There are a ton of things I was supposed to do but I have forgotten already most of them too... :D

Thanks for the replies.  I have heard from one dealer who called it a portfolio and gave me an approximate value of $35.  I still have not seen anything similar to it on eBay, or online.  I really appreciate all of the assistance.

I went ahead and posted the literature on eBay with a starting fee of $35.  We'll see what happens.
