pics of 285/75/r16 tires on stock steel wheels

Hey, Do any of you guys have pics of your trucks with 285/75/r16 tires on stock white steel 16x6 wheels? If so, will you post a pic or two. I've been searching the forum but can't find any pics. I'm thinking about putting 285s on my 1984 3/4 ton 4X4 and I'm curious what they will look like.

Cool. Those 285s look pretty beefy. Now I'm wondering if they might be a little to big. My truck has been leveled so my suspension is stock height in the rear but raised an inch or 2 in the front. Looks like the 285s will definitely fill up the fender wells. I picked up some 16x7 ford rims today off of a 93 f250. They should work better if I decide to go with the 285s.  Now I need to decide between 265s or 285s. Tough decision. Will be putting on BFG AT T/A KO2.

If anyone could give me their 2 cents I would appreciate it.

  Great minds think alike (or maybe we both had the same bad idea).
  My M1028 (Military K30) is set up just like you described.
  It has Tough Country HD 2" frontal springs (I went with the HD springs to suppirt the 6.2 diesel). No lift in the rear yet, someday it will get an Off Road Design  1" zero rate in the rear spring pack.
  The tires are Nitto Terra Grappler 285/75 R16  mounted on 16" x 7" rims off an 99 Ford E350 van. The van is an old Sherrifs Department van that I bought at an auction for a cheap  running & driving 1 ton storage container.
  In 1 picture you can see the 285/75R16 on the 16" x 7" Ford rim vs the stock 235/85R16 tire on a 16" x 6.5" GM rims.
  I think its a great set up. It looks "beefy" without screaming "I'm a big lifted truck" I also have a few of those, but that's a story for another day).

Love your truck fitz! Tires look great. I just found pics of this truck below which recently sold on eBay. The description says it has 285/75/r16 tires. They are on a more modern wheel but the 285 tires look pretty dang good.

Thank you for the photos of that eBay rig, it is the first 4x4 i have seen that has the center caps modded to fit!
I have the same setup on my rig, 01-07 Duramax rims with 285/75/16 tires.
My truck is an 84 K20, 6.2 diesel,700r4, 8600GVWR with quad front shocks.
I got these 285 tires in a trade, I was actually originally wanting 235/85/16's.
I had 265/75/16's before, first gear was very short.
The 285/75/16's help with that a little, but for sure help with 4th. My RPM's at 60-70 are a good bit lower and I feel like I can drive on the interstate without beating on my 6.2.
If you do a lot of hauling and need that extra torque, id stay with 265 tires.
I'm very happy with my 285 tires.
