Making the dash bezel pretty again.

I'm currently in the middle of fixing my 86s dash bezel. I taped everything off and then applied Vaseline to the black inner portion of the gauge holes to keep the paint from getting there without the frustration of trying to tape that part off. I then used the chrome spray paint that I bought for making the gauge lights brighter, and idea I read on here.

I also ordered some brushed aluminum vinyl wrap to apply. Will update pictures when finished.

The brushed aluminum vinyl actually comes out really nice, although, it does not look like the stock reflection.  Here's pics from my restoration attempt.

Here's the chrome spray paint on the outer rings. Still waiting on the vinyl to arrive.

Yours looks extremely clean. I'm even more excited now

That looks great!  I wish I would have thought about spraying those too.  I tried a silver paint pen but that didn't work out so well.

I think mine is just temporary, eventually I'll just buy a new one when I fully finish the interior restoration.  I just wanted a quick fix to get me through.  I have too many external body issues and paint things to address first.
