I WOULD LIKE TO CONVERT MY '76 C15 5 LUG OVER TO 8 LUG SO I CAN RUN THE NEWER FACTORY ALUMINUM WHEELS.
I know there are wheel adaptors/spacers out there.
Any input regarding brand, thickness of adaptor??
Thanks all!

Would something like this work?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/321553123725?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82
Although you have to be suspect about any off brand thing on ebay.......
i wanted to install some later model 3/4 ton aluminum wheels on my 1/2 ton, but after pricing it out---adapters, wheels, tires (because they were 16") is was about $400 per wheel and i decided it wasn't worth it.
But those later model 3/4 ton wheels look fantastic on a square.

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking
BUT
I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the 5 lug to 8 lug adapters. I would buy quality billet ones of course.
PLEASE CHIME IN EVERYONE!
Thanks all!

Once in a while I may haul a 1000 lbs or so. My truck does have the F44 Heavy Duty Chassis AND coils were added to the rear.

i would get a hold of the company who sells them adapters and get some numbers from them. they should be insured since they are something for the suspension and should have a rating on them.

On another note, the billet adapters are 2" THICK. I'm hoping to go with the factory aluminum 16" 2004-2009/10 10 hole wheels and use 285/75-16s OR 265/75-16s.
