Hello from New Brunswick, Canada
« on: September 20, 2015, 05:12:06 am »
I thought I would introduce myself, show you all my new to me truck and tell you my plans for the truck. I've always been a Chevy guy. My first car was a 1981 Chevy Monte Carlo, but I have always wanted a square body 4x4. I'm at the stage of my life where I'm accumulating toys now (LOL, much to my wife's disgust) and I've been seriously on the hunt for a square body for the last 3 years. Two weeks ago, I found what I was looking for, a 1985 Chevy shorty 4x4 with a 350 and 4 speed manual transmission. It is a very solid truck. I've been thinking I would have to come to the USA to find what I was looking for, but ended up finding it 3 hours away from my house and the truck had spent most of its life in the USA. It has some rust on the box's underside and fender insides, but the frame is solid. Since I bought it, I installed the headers that the guy threw in with the truck and it is now at my buddies getting the headers connected to the mufflers. I plan on putting a lift kit in (undecided about the size, but leaning towards 6") and larger tires. Doing some research is how I came to find this site. Well that was a lot about me, but I plan to spend some time searching this forum looking for help and I thought I should introduce myself. This is a great site, keep up the great work!

Oh yeah, and here's my new baby!
