Camaros.and the 73-80 4x4 swb, 6th one from the bottom and then the blazer above it.thanks for posting them and i'll look forward to more.

now that you mention stories behind the cars and trucks, how did he wreck that '71 or '72 Chevelle? anyway i bet he wishes now he would have kept some of them.

THe chevelle was a BB, 4 speed car and he actually had the car sold. He was taking it for one last drive with his buddy down a residential street going about 70 and hit some bumps. Well the car started to get a little loose and my dad thought 4th gear would bring the car out and 2 cherry tree's and a pickup truck later him and his buddy were running from the wreckage and my dad was holding his right arm.

Yes, he does wish he would of kept some of them. Especially his 1965 Plymouth Fury with a Hemi that he bought for $300 when he was 15 years old.

'80 model stepside

how about that red '80 model stepside? i would've like to have that one because GM only made that particular grille only in '80. any special history behind it? oh yeah about the Chevelle wreck when you said your dad was holding his right arm, you didn't mean it decapitated it... right?

no, he's lucky he still has use of that arm though....the bone was shoved through were your wrist is, he has some nasty scars there.

And mainy the only cars my dad regrets selling are some the camaro's, like the green Z/28 and a Silver 1968 Z/28 camaro w/NOM engine. As far as trucks go in 73-87 trucks his favorite year is 1980 because of that grill. He liked that 1980 Jimmy the best though. He really wanted to keep his black 72' for a little longer though.

yeah i like that black '72 and i also forgot to mention that red '66/'67 Chevelle i like too.i bet you're dad was hurting after that wreck.he is lucky. but do you know where i can find some nice pictures of some 73-87 long wheel base trucks. reason i ask is that when i look for a project truck i think it's going to be harder to find a short wheel base and i just want to see if the lwbs have as good as potential as a swb or can look as good. thanks.

All those rides are awesome looking, I think my favorite was the shortbed 4wd, that looks like a '75 it has engine size badge on the grille.

ummm...you can find some nice lwb pics at cardomain, theres a pretty nice 1980 LWB on there thats dark grey. I believe I posted a pic somewhere on this board when someone was asking about lowering a LWB. And as far as finding a SB Chevy for sale, I seem to find them everywhere around here, I don't know aobut were you live, but out of the truck trader, and some private party listings on some different sites I'd say theres probably at least 25 SWB for sale and a good 12 SNB under 6k....my friends dad is trying to part with his black 79' SWB with an original 454 in it.
