cab bushings need replacing?

well this relates to my cab leaning on the left side.when ya'll talk about the cab bushings do ya'll mean the rubber looking mounts or something else? im beginning to believe that's the reason it leans on the left. remember the frame guy said it needed shims on the left only, yet it doesn't have any on the right side as far as i can tell. according to all 4 cab bolts are suppost to have shims. so how can i tell if they need replacing? i just hope that the frame isn't twisted or bent after i've had it straightened. and one of the bed bolts on the left side has a shim but none of the other bed bolts have any as far as i can see.the bed sits level because i used a leveler on it but if it needs a shim that makes me think the bed or frame is bent. sorry i keep bringing up this whole frame thing but it's just wierd how some bolts have shims and others don't. either way im proud of my truck. any advice would helpful once again.

I would say that the body bushing are throwing your body alignment off. As for "shims" on the body bushings, there are no shims. There is a top and bottom washer that goes on the top and bottom of the bushing assembly.

well,.....i guess what ill do is replace the cab bushings.then ill take that 1 shim out of the bed and see where i stand. but man i'll tell you what that frame is making me lose sleep.
i wan't that truck frame to be approximately within the GM specifications.
i want the bodylines to match up evenly.

I think your frame is fine. There are no shims for the bed either from the factory.
If you want PERFECT body lines, you are going to have to manipulate the body to get there. Off the assembly line these trucks weren't perfect, so if you are looking for streetrod perfection, you are going to have to make it that way.

i probably am overreacting a little
. but i'll replace them bushings one day and take that shim out one day. i know the trucks aren't perfect from the factory but hearing from a 73-87 expert makes me feel better.

one more thing, after my truck got out of the frame shop, i guess it's the frame or alignment print off sheet that has terms on it i have never heard before such as camber, caster, toe. could you explain to mean what all this means? it also says left front, right front, left rear, and right rear and under all those it says actual, before, and then specified range and included angle, turning angle diff. and that it has numbers.

That sheet would be the printoff of the steering alignment. Camber, caster, and toe refer to the 3 parts of the steering that had to be aligned.

thank you for clearing that up. well i tried removing the shim from underneath the bed. somebody welded the bed bolt to the bed!!!
why would comebody do that??? so now i'm going to have chisel the weld out unless there is an easier way to do it.
