Haha, I like this. I trust nothing except AC Delco factory oil filters. If it's not a Delco filter, it's not gonna happen.

I have a late 90s block so I use a AC PF1218. Tho I think most of the older small blocks use the same filter.

Worked some more on my project this weekend.I installed the power steering pump setup, the kid mount alternator bracket and had to change to a long water pump. Mocked up the spark plug wires and set a 2" carb spacer on the intake. Now I have to find a water pump pulley. If anyone has a 6 1/8" wide, 2 3/4" deep, double pulley for a SBC long pump, let me know. The ones I had laying around would not work. Replaced the detent cable in the trans and put a reusable rubber steel pan gasket on it. I also have new trans lines going to the radiator.

The setup you have looks nice. Those reusable gaskets are great, I have 1 on my oil pan. Oddly enough, GM actually uses reusable transmission pan gaskets on alot of there vehicles (I work at a dealer, in service dept) and unless the pan or gasket is physically damaged or not installed properly (which is kinda hard to screw up honestly) they work great.

I think I may have the pulley you are looking for. It should be for a double V-belt setup? My truck had one I took off when I converted to serpentine. When I get home, I'll check my spare parts collection and measure and get back to you. If it's the one you need, at most it needs a new coat of paint.

Yes, it is the double pulley v-belt that I need. I have one but it's for a short water pump. I also have put reusable valve cover and oil pan gaskets on it. Getting close to taking the motor off the stand and mating the trans up.  Will be replacing the flexplate with a Scat SFI 168 tooth and a Jegs stall converter.

This came off my old small block.
I checked best I could and it looks to be straight. Never had a single issue with it and never wobbled.

Search "oil filter cut away comparison", don't take my word for it.  AC Delco PF 35 or 1218. There are lots of good brands of filters.

The one I have both pulleys are the same size, but for a short water pump. I guess that would work. The smaller pulley would be for the power steering pump, the other one would  be for the alternator.

Interesting. I'm not sure why they would be different. Probably due to the type of power steering system. My truck came with heavy duty power steering originally. Doesn't mean it's not the original pulley either. I know a least 2 or 3 monkeys had their way with it before I got it.
