Looks awesome! If I don't find one I'm gonna make one.
How long is it from the front edge to the rear edge of the flow shifter bezel on your truck?

I ordered a leather steering wheel cover. Should be here in a few days. Need to put the wheel on the truck now.

Swapped steering wheels last night. Was pretty easy. I've had the old one off a number if times so wasn't anything new. I found that the metal disc that is the spring on my old wheel was cleaner than the one on the new wheel and the steel cup on the new wheel was cleaner than the one on the old wheel so I used the nicer pieces from each. Also I had no idea that the spring disc was supposed to have a plastic frame it sat on. Mine never has this so I cleaned the frame and reused it. The only issue I had was some jack wagon before me modified the part of the horn button that snaps onto the steel cup so it goes on but is loosie goosie. I'm to na have to find a repop or a good used one, luckily it did not stop the horn from still being functional. Now for everyone's favorite, pictures!

Old.

Still going to get a new center emblem and waiting on the leather to get here.

Lookin good! I'm gonna measure my hump as soon as I get a chance. We just closed on the house and all of our house hold goods just got delivered so it may take me a little while but I like the wheel. Is it smaller than the factory one?

No problem. Yea just measure the width and length of the black plastic box around your transfer case shifter.

Yes this wheel is smaller than the factory one. If you put the two wheels together with their horn buttons facing eachother, the outside edge of the new wheel (the part that's actually circle shaped that you put your hand on)  is the same as the inside edge of the old wheel.

This wheel diameter is 14 3/4 inches, GM called it a 14 inch sport wheel, so the old truck wheel is probably 15 3/4 inches. So the old wheel is 1 inch in diameter larger than the new one.

I really hope that made sense?? I was trying to make that as easy to understand as I could.

The leather wrap should be here tomorrow so I'll post pics when I get it.

Well there was some complications with ordering the wheel wrap, got it fixed tho and it shipped last Friday and delivered Tuesday, I picked it up this morning. It's pretty nice, here it is.

Normally they come with 1 roll of the lacing, that is to stitch their standard method. I asked for an extra so they sent 2, I'm going to do a cross stich type pattern so that it looks even more like factory.

I would really have to be at a loss to do another project before I picked up this one...that's gonna look sweet when you're done and in a couple of weeks you will begin to feel your finger tips again so you can actually grip that new wheel and put some miles on it. I've been so busy unpacking and 'honey doing ' I haven't touched a single thing that I see as fun or relaxing but it sure is great to own a house again!

It's funny you mention that, I actually spent 2 & 1/2 hours last night putting the cover on. I did a cross stitch pattern, that was a PITA, worth it though I think. It came out better than I expected. Now that I know what to expect I'm more comfortable doing it again if I had too. I got an extra roll of stitching with it so if it starts to loose up or something I can cut it all off and do it again. Overall, I'm happy with it for my first time doing any type of automotive interior stitching.

It's not perfect I know, but for what it is and considering who installed it (yes I'm making fun of myself) I'm happy with it and my fingers aren't torn to shreds. What you guys think?

Haha no, I must have looked at it 10 + times before I put it on, I know what your talking about. The gaps between frame and outside ring look bigger on bottom than the top. They are the same tho, I think lol. I looked and looked. Ide look at, then spin it 180° and look again and then repeat that like 10 more times. They are the same. Plus it only goes on 1 way because of the plastic tunnel thing that sticks out that the horn contact mechanism goes thru. It won't go on upside down. I know what ya mean tho, scratched my head for over an hour when I first got it. It came off the donor truck 1 way and went back on my truck the same.
