New here, form Michigan
« on: December 22, 2015, 08:25:02 am »
Thanks for allowing me to be here.  I own an 86 C20 Scottsdale camper special. I restored it 5 years ago for my teen age daughter but I ended up getting it back a little worse for wear.

Thanks for the welcome! I hope to get some tips and information to fix the little issues I'm having with Ol' Blue. I just installed a class 5 hitch and can't wait to see how it tows my enclosed trailer and car! I rebuilt the 350 to the GM 250 horse crate motor specs a few years ago, I'm thinking a 454 might be a better option in the near future. My goal is to build it as a tow vehicle and get both fuel tanks working, passenger side is bad. Maybe dual batteries. I thought about C30 springs at all 4 corners but you almost need to wear a kidney belt just driving it around the block.

Finally a pic of Ol' Blue. I've replaced the front clip, both doors, passenger side rocker panel, both cab corners and passenger bed side. I painted it back to its original color configuration. Now that it's back in my hands I'm thinking of repainting it a lighter shade of blue and white down the center. I'm not a fan of dark colors
