I'll be having a bunch more free time starting the first of April and will finally get to working on my project that has sat now for nearly ten years. It may be close to beyond redemption but it will give me something to do. The cab is chock full of rut in some of the oddest places like the a-pillars, and most of the normal places like the floor, corners, cowl area, and fenders. Even one rear spring hanger is rusted through. Like I said, it may not even be worth trying to save cost wise, but regardless, they don't make these any more so what is here is all we'll ever have.
My questions:
about replacement body panels- I would like to know who is good better or best at supplying quality parts consistently. The thicker the better.
about suspension shackle flips- anyone used them and how do they handle overall? Anything noticeable?
about replacement glass rubbers and door seals- same question, who has quality parts?
I started updating the wiring through the firewall when I stopped working on the truck a few years ago. SO, naturally I forgot precisely where I was at. I do know I was in the process of installing a dash switch activated delay wiper system from another truck when I stopped, that's all I remember about it. Now it only has slow speed. No questions here, just thinking out loud.
