I mean all around it, that dirty windshield area, its not cut clean glass. I have an idea how to fix or mask it though.

That's the way they're made.  Look at any period GM car and they're the same.

Ya, i've seen it before. I may just mask it with some black caulk or black gorilla tape, cut to shape. Or some black foam cut to shape.

Why bother, anybody who knows it's original knows that's the way they are and anything covering it up is clearly not original. In my opinion, as ugly as you think it looks, trying to cover it up will be even uglier or more obvious. Mine has never bothered me in the single least bit the way it looks.

That's exactly how mine looks. And it has a new windshield in it! I've seen lots of these trucks over the years and they all look like that. Your truck looks great. Just run with it like it is and forget it!
