1974 c10 'ole blue'

My name is Nik I live in Mississippi in the middle of the delta. I'm married and have a 2 year old. Anyways, I've had my c10 since I was 16, I'll be 24 in April. This truck, ole blue, has been in my family since he was brand new. My great grandfather bought the truck for my great grandmother, 1974 c10 inline 6 250 with an automatic trans/ previously 3 on the tree until my grandmother couldn't drive it. My great grandmother gave it to her son, who gave it to my grand father and then to me. He's lived a good many years with 3 rebuilds on the original motor. Since I've had the truck I've gotten it running a lot better than what it was when I started driving it at 16; recently I've been driving him just to keep the dust off and while I built up parts for a 5/6 drop until the dust points wore out enough to dry fire...THEN the ignition to give out. With the truck just too old and beat down to keep putting bandaids on I decided to take a step back, think logically, laugh hard briefly, then I decided I make my beloved family truck, with acceptance of my close family, to go free range with my rust bucket.
In all it's pretty simple, 5.3 swap with minor upgrades to help support a semi daily turbo. I've read over forums and forums on the swap itself but not boosting in general. Any info on what size turbo and anything along the lines of piping intercooler and such, links or whatever, would be helpful. My next plan is a little different and time consuming but I know what I want to an extent. Mid 80s corvette independent suspension! This project will happen after my 5.3 swap even though I'll take any and all information on irs swaps. I work at a machine shop so custom fab, metal work, all that good stuff are readily at hand. Again any info on irs on a related truck would be amazing.
