285/75 16 or 265?

Okay, I am rather new to this, and know this has been covered a bunch!

But search after search I cant seem to find a clear answer, and maybe there isn't one.
H folks, Have a 77 K20, stock height with the springs re-arched to fix a small sag on left rear and right front. Have new 16x8" wheels with a 5" backspace (19MM offset). Trying to get some opinions and/or facts from peeps with experience on this.
My goal is to get the keep the tires tucked in or even with the wheel lip, and not rub. I realize I should have no issues with the 265's, but want a little bigger look and also have 4:10's with a 3 speed tranny, looking for a little taller to help even just a little, with RPM's at 60ish. Thinking BFG TKO2 or General Grabber AT2's
Currently running stock 16x6.5" and 235/85 tires, 4.5 inch backspace.

I have test fit the rims and they fit with no interference with the pitman arm/Tie rod or brake components.

Any thought? pictures?

I really do not want to lift, or trim anything, and I am not an avid rough off road dude, but from time to time she see's some dirt, and snow, and mostly sit's in the garage and looks good.

did you look at this? i know it doesnt include back spacing but maybe someone can help with that

You should be able to run 33 inch tall with no problems
May can go taller if you keep it skinny

Not sure how that translates into metric sizes

Thanks Guys, I did some measuring and I should end up with 1/2 inch space between the left front tire and the drag link at full right lock. Looks like plenty of room at the wheel lip front and back. No concerns anywhere else.
What seems to be missing in most posts is wheel width and backspace info, I may be overthinking all this, but that certainly changes the geometry.
I'll post some pic's after the tires are installed, decided to go with BFG KO2 in 285/75-16 E rated, mainly for the look, and I the E load rating. I want to go with the Grabbers cause seem to get great reviews, but D rated, and don't give that classic look. THE BFG's I feel are a better tire and probably worth the extra bills in the grand scheme of things. These are going on Ultra (Baja style) 164-6882P rims, the only ones I could find with a positive offset, wanted to go American racing but the 1/2" offset was important to me to keep them as far in as possible....we'll see if all my thinking, measuring and rethinking pays off!

BTW: Anybody go from a Turbo 350 to the 700 R4??? Mine was a 400, previous owner for some reason converted it to a 350......203 transfer case converted from full time to locking hubs

Do you have any pictures of the entire truck? From the few parts I've seen, it looks really good. I like the brown/white two tone.

I went to 285/75/16 on my '84 K20 with quad front shocks.
I have some drag link rubbing due to having them mounted on Duramax rims. As long as you have the right offset rims, this shouldn't happen.
Overall, they are very worth the upgrade IMO.
