So what's your weekend plans?
« on: February 19, 2005, 09:28:00 am »
I don't get by here as much as I should, and when I do it's kinda quit. Lets get a fresh topic going to see if it adds some life in here.
What are ya'll doing this weekend?  Anything you enjoy?Anything you dread?
Here's my list-

Enjoy- If my Bro-n-law gets my 700r4 built this morning I will be making a road trip to Rockwall to deliver it. My 77 is at Stoked Out Specialties getting a few updates for Spring. I will get to see how it's coming along.

Enjoy- My daughter is performing in a drama with her youth group from Church. Her group has been invited to perform at another Church on Sunday evening. This should be interesting.

Dread- My wife decided since she wasn't going with me to Rockwall she would update me daughters bedroom. We bought some new furniture for her last night. Now I get to put some of the pieces together and re-arrange furniture.

Dread- While picking up the new furniture last night my cell phone got ripped off my belt and slammed on the ground. Now the ear pice is dead. I have to see if they can fix it, or buy a new phone today.

Currently residing in my garage-
04- Ram Hemi QC
03- Denali XL
02- Harley Davidson F-150
02- GMC 1500HD <For Sale
96- Chevy Extra Cab
84- Z-28 Camaro
82- C/K Blazer
77- Chevy Cheyenne < link

it's been sitting in the garage for the past 2 months, so i haven't been able to get any good recent pics, it's not in very good shape right now either, but here are the pics.

when it was my brothers truck, he hit a pole and it smashed the bumper and right fender, so that's in primer.

finally got most of the interior done.

i also have to make a box for my new dvd player, it's in a bag and i have to wire everything up everytime i go somewhere.

i'll finally after a couple months be able to drive it soon, we just got it registered, and it doesn't need to pass emissions, so no catalytic converters for me!:D

We had a nice day here in KY today, not warm but dry and sunny.  Got new brakes put on the back of my V10 and replaced the slave cylinder.  I also noticed that the clutch clutch master cylinder was leaking, but that was after NAPA closed.  I'm not a huge fan of Advance Auto so I guess it will just sit there until Monday rolls around.

I've got a buddy like that, he has a piece of crap 84 F150 that is used up and then some. He talks about buying a new truck but for one he keeps looking at Fords, two he will call me and ask if this one or that one is a good deal bla bla bla. Then when I find him a pretty clean 83 K10 that I rebuilt about 7 years ago, know well and has some new parts but  needs some very minor work he complains about the money it will take, probably $1000.00 to fix everything, and goes on about if he put that into his ford bla bla. I tell him he will still have a ford with a rusty frame etc. etc. I guess I don't have to worry because he so tight he squeaks, he will debate over it for another year or so.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

I started my new job Thursday, and unfortunately it includes working saturdays, so that really cuts into the weekend plans... On the plus side it's a great shop that's only a couple years old, so everything's still nice and clean, but pretty much every Lexus dealership has a good service center. Today was spent finishing up the NP203 transfer case, and then next weekend I'll work on getting it bolted up and the big blue beast running again.

I'm a little late but had to work fri, sat and sun 5p to 5a
dread: work, had a girl 3 am sat morning park her car on the roof, last night snowing another girl totals her new mustang,(it was a ford anyway)not hurt but I check her DL and she has a warrant for her arrest out of my town, today the Mrs. want to go into the city to see the central park "Gates" exhibit
joy: got the paper work for pension loan to finish my garage
the 84' is stripped down to the frame, (neighbors pissed tho, looks like the truck exploded in the yard), the owner of the body shop is getting me all the sheetmetal at his cost
