Bedside replacement
« on: July 03, 2005, 11:34:00 pm »
I acquired this 78 3/4 tom pickup, needs a one bedside replaced. Ive been told its mostly bolt on except in a couple spots that will need to be cut and rewelded, which I can do, anyone done this before?  Does anyone know how involved this really is?  Should I pull the whole bed off the truck or leave it on?

i changed the bed side on my 86 3/4 ton long bed it wasent that hard i  got the bedside from   truck i didnt have to do any cutting when i did mine and i would recommend leavin the bed on your truck so you wont get it out of square when u take the bed side off cause it can be a pain to get squared back up so that the bed side holes will linethe only problem with leaving the bed on the truck is its kinda hard to get to the bolts on the front of the bed but a long handled rachet would help. i hope this helps you out and good luck on your truck.

thanks
