Beefy Rear Tire on 15 x 8" Rim?

Dressing up my 87 Shortbed two wheel drive. I'd like to put as wide a tire on the back as the Rim will handle. Thanks in advance, Al W.

I'll be putting 15X10's on the back and 15X8's on the front of my 73.

both my trucks have 15x8s on the rear. one has 10.50s and the other has 12.50s. idk how much wider i would go on an 8 inch wide wheel
