I have had my truck in it's current state after restoring it for about three years and I daily drive it.  I haven't had a single issue with the lights on the truck until the other day.  I realized my turn signals were no longer working.  I checked flashers first and they seemed fine and then I saw the blown turn/stop fuse.  I replaced it and everything worked again for about a day.  I blew another fuse but not sure how or why.  I replaced it with a 20 amp and it blew that fuse also.  The hazards were fine until this point and worked.  I pulled all the signal light assemblies and inspected everything and it looked good.  I pulled the dash cluster and still everything looked good.  I tested everything with a new fuse and the key on but the truck not running and it seemed like it would work all day both directions no problem.  I decided to go for a little drive to check it out and started the truck and tried the signals before I even got out of the driveway and it popped the fuse right away.  I tried the four way hazards too and for the first time it blew the fuse also within a few seconds.  Anyone know why I would have zero issue with the truck for 3+ years and suddenly have this problem?

From what I think I read about your issue, your brake and flashers blow fuses ,both I think should have a common connection point ,seeing as how they both signal the same bulbs ,i would look at the rear harness area where it passes thru a bulkhead or where it could be rubbing and chaffing,it will take some effort but worth it in the end. Good luck  Jim

Found it!  Was a dead short.  I bolt in the radiator support was rubbing on the left front parking light socket.  I have a billet grill in it and it must have moved the light further back from the stock grill and caused it to make contact.  It took over 5 years to finally rub through.
