Big brakes and wheel clearance
« on: June 08, 2016, 02:12:57 pm »
I'm considering new wheels for my 1980 C10  stepside.  I'd like to keep the option of 13" brakes open.  Is it safe to buy 17" wheels? McGaughey won't  claim to fit but CPP  says their's  will fit most 17" wheels.

What experiences can anyone share?  What about other options? 18" wheels just don't suit my taste.

Most brake manufacturers will provide a template that you can cut-out to check fit with wheels.
