One of each now
« on: July 08, 2016, 08:37:38 pm »
So as some of you might know. I've had a 98 Grand Cherokee for several years now to go along with my Chevy trucks.
Well, I got a deal on a nice car. Customer of mine bought a new Subaru, asked if they could park their old car out in front of my shop for sale. I put new front brakes, and a battery in it about 7 months ago. I put four brand new tires, and rear brakes on it about 4 months ago. They wanted to ask $1,800 for it. I asked how much if I bought it, he said, $1,100, I said hang on a minute while I get my check book!
2008 Ford Taurus, AWD. It has 206,000 miles on it, two little spots of rust on the bottom of the dog leg just in front of the rear tires on both sides. Interior is spotless, AC is ice cold. All I did was change the oil, and put a right front wheel bearing in it. Was thinking of flipping it, but I been driving it, getting spoiled! Think I will keep it for a while. It books for $3,600.
First time since 1986 I've owned, and driven a Ford.
Got one of each of the big three now!

Sounds like a good deal! We have an Excursion, 1/2 ton Ram, and  a Kenworth to go with the square bodies. Gotta spread the love, LOL.

I am getting a wrath of guff from my friends for driving a FORD!
Even my Ford buddies are giving me crap.

i cant truly knock a ford the only one i had was a merc sable. and it was a gift, she made it to the junkyard under her own power. the only reason i got rid of her is cause i just got a chevy impala ss. and i cant knock a dodge cause i do have a cummins in my chevy (not that dodge makes the cummins).
