i was also going to suggest/think (and hope) that the oil pump wouldn't pick it up because there's no way it could pass through the screen.But isn't there a very small, outside chance it could get kicked up and get entangled with the crank and rods? Then again, since it's in the lowest part of the pan this is probably unlikely.
Me personally, it would bother me knowing it was in there.
