So today I took a bunch of scrap metal to the scrap yard today to clean up the side of the house.  I spied a medium-duty truck and wondered if it had a tach combo.  Nice score for 20 bucks, that's a win for me today.  Now comes the time to clean it up replace the amp & oil gages.  Question... it came out of a diesel, the tach doesn't care where the signal comes from does it?  What is the best way to clean this up?

That is from most likely a Canadian truck, the speedometer has km/h as the primary scale and mph as the secondary scale. The km/h is white = primary, mph is blue = secondary. I would say that makes it even a bit more rare than complete medium duty clusters already are.

That's a rare bird
If you're just looking for a tach
I'd toss it on eBay with a high reserve
Someone in Canadia might have to have it
Might bring some good money
Unless you gotta have a diesel tach

I noticed the diesel tach when I got home with it.  I was going to use the tach for my truck because the medium-duties have the tach/fuel together and then I can run a clock as well.  I spied one a while back with a 5k tach but the guy didn't want to part with it at that time.
