hey everyone im new to this place and im lookin to get a little help with my '77 bonanza. its in pretty bad shape right now but im preparing to start restoration on it. right now it has fleetsides all around, but im thinkin about puttin stepsides on the bed. the truck has a long bed on it, and the catalog that im goin through doesn't seem to have a long bed stepside option. can you get stepsides for a long bed? i figured i could just shorten my frame rails
and make it a shortbed, but im not too big on the short bed stepside look with a '77 c10. any ideas or place where i can get a longbed stepside kit? this is kind of a convoluted post so i hope it makes sense to everyone. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Long stepsides weren't that popular so finding one is going to be tough. You might try

I know that sells bed floors and parts for the long stepside. However, I don't know of anybody who sells the "long" stepside bedside panels. The fenders, front, rear, & tailgate are the same p/n as the short stepside.

i've been searching for long stepside bedside panels for years now. whoever supplys the short ones should tool up and stamp out a bunch of long ones. they would sell, or you can always cut them short again.

Try rustrepair.com. If they do not have what you want, try
americanclassic.com.

american classic actually had a listing but shows discontinued.
if its posible to buy a pair of these sides somewhere, it would
make my day. i spoke to Mar-K order desk and didn't get much help,
however that was over a year ago.

I know where there is a late 70s stepside longbed pickup sitting. If someone would be interested in shipping the whole truck from Phoenix AZ, I could stop buy and see if it's for sale. It hasn't moved for over 2 years that I know of. I know for sure it's a longbed and it's brown.

looking for new, Mar-K has a listing but no stock and no time table for production. i will continue to ask them and any other leads that come up. starting a thread on the main forum, you never know.

i've seen 2 in my life here in a city 3+ million. the 1 guy says he gets offers all the time. i would be pleasantly surprised if
that truck in AZ could be had for reasonable, and would consider it for sure.

Sounds like I should be taking orders for custom fabricated sides.
I've made up 2 sides in the past for a shortbox.

thanks i think your right, there can't be any serious differences
between 65 to 87 other than fender bolt hole patterns. pictures i've seen of older replacement panels, don't show any holes for the fenders, thats encouraging. i want to keep asking though, at $500 plus a side i'd like to know for sure.
