Parking brake cable swap
« on: August 24, 2016, 08:51:43 pm »
I have an 82 c10 long bed and I have a dilemma, the way I want to do my exhaust is prohibited due to the parking brake cable. I'd like to know of it is possible to swap for a newer set up from an 84 through 87. Has anyone done this or not. i have a donor truck if it is possible.

I had no idea this was even an option but now that you have brought it up, I'll be watching this post to see how it goes. This would be something to I'm interested in doing.

i personally would think of another way to run the exhaust. unless you can find a donor truck thats not all rusted up and get the system off that i would hate to see the bill for a new system. doing the math real quick in my head it will be 115 for most of the system minus the brackets. but also keep in mind the rear axle might need to be swapped if it hooks up differently
