Dash bezel id
« on: September 25, 2016, 07:14:10 pm »
Can anyone tell me what year this bezel is supposed to be from? My truck is an 83 and it just doesn't fit right. Note the corners.

1981-1983 AC from the looks of it.

Agreed, is it possible the dash pad is aftermarket? That's the most common part to be screwed up in one way or another.

I honestly can't tell on the pad. I bought the bezel from a guy on Craigslist. I am also noticing the bezel doesn't sit all the way up against the gauges like my 87 does. It's also very hard to see the gauges. I can fit my finger between the gauge and the bezel. Are all the bezels interchangeable?

your holes seems to not be on the right place, especially the one on the top left. I just change mine 2 weeks ago, it's an after market and it fit very well. There is some little differences with the year of your truck, but nothing what can realy not fit, just a little job to do. I send you the link where i buy mine, cause it' explaining the years where you have little troubles. Mine is a 1980 but i think it can maybe help you.

Do you think I may have the wrong bezel?

Yes because your truck doesn't have AC but it is correct for 81-83.  Your dash pad is off or the instrument cluster has broken tabs not holding the dash up far enough.  That upper left hole just used the dash pad to screw into if I am remembering correctly.
