Fuel tank vent hose 1985 longbed with 20 gal tank
« on: November 18, 2016, 05:21:27 pm »
Looking for some info(pictures would be awesome). I recently got the"correct" vent hose for the fuel filler, but it just doesn't seem to make sense. I'll try to post a picture in a bit, but based on the mash up of bends and metal tubing, of which there was 10 clamps on there, and all the hose was cracked, and the metal pipe full of rust holes; but is was like an elongated 'Z' coming out of the tank to the fill tube. the new hose is an elongated '[', BUT one of the "arms" is longer. is it supposed to wrap under or over the fill tube? then connect? I tried a quick mock-up(still in package so if needed I can return) but it doesn't seem like it will fit?? possible wrong one?

OR maybe even wrong style fill tube?

Thanks

Ok, too long of a week apparently, going to take a long sleep so no mistakes arise for the weekend(painting the truck ;D) but I was looking at the passenger side tank, trying to see how it works, well, I ordered the drivers side cause that was the side that needed replacing, just apparently I was getting my lefts and rights confused when I was looking at it tonight.

ya'll have a good weekend 8)
