On my 83 GMC Sierra Classic, I'm currently running some run of the mill 235/75r15 Goodyear Wrangler Radials.
Im probably going to change to Firestone Destination A/T's, either same size or 30x9.50r15.
From what I've been able to gather from reviews, the Wranglers have mediocre traction and don't really last very long. They're fairly cheap, though, at $73 per tire right now at Walmart. The Destination A/T's seem to have pretty good traction and will last longer. My girlfriend's car has Firestone Firehawk A/S and they've been great tires. Great traction and they've lasted for a while now. The Destination A/T's are a bit more than the Wranglers though. They're $117 to $122. I'm thinking they're worth the extra cost though, imo. I don't plan on getting off pavement much, but probably some, this is Alabama after all, lol. But anyway, besides asthetics, that's my reasoning for not going with the Destination LE2' s or another highway all-season.
