Water on driver idea floor
« on: February 02, 2017, 06:16:41 pm »
I got water sitting o the driver side flor of my c10 now none of the seals appear to be leaking but some one at work told me it could be coming from the vents in behind the hood
Anyone run into this before ? I will be troubleshooting it this weekend any help would be great
 Cheers!! :)

The absolute best way to find leaks is to use a hose and peer under the dash with a flashlight as you slowly hose the truck down-starting at the bottom and going up-if your doing it alone-thoroughly soak sections, then crawl inside and take a peek for leaks.

Now, another thing is the floor-are you sure there are no holes down there?

Thanks guys Kaiser I don't think there's any holes as the cab wad re done and it's been sitting for the winter
And Irish no there's no cab lights I was hoping it's just water being there from when I moved and it's been freezing and meltING which isn't good either but I'll be ripping up the mats and liner tomorrow and I'll keep you guys posted

Check the cowl area.  Fill it up with water...

Sorry it to took so long to get back guys the winter up here has been pretty mild till the last 2 weeks. but with further inspection it appears that it's just coming through the weather stripping and running down by the dash, Which I'm glad because it's alot more simple to fix.
But thanks again for all the help guys
