AC parts help
« on: February 10, 2017, 03:19:14 pm »
Hey all,

Kind of stuck on getting the AC back in after I took everything out, cleaned it and will need to repair some small items.

I cannot for the life of me find the vacuum lines, I think they are called. I am missing the orange/black small tube line ('F' in image) from the splitter that goes to the kick panel actuator. I need the entire actuator kick panel assembly as well.

Also missing the larger orange line that goes into the main unit under the dash.

Any good places to get this from or anyone happen to know the sizes? Thanks in advance

Most of the lines should be 5/32" vacuum hose.  Email the site store owner Captkaos at webmaster@73-87chevytrucks.com to see if he has the kick panel available.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

THX!!
I will email him tonight.

I know the one going into the main unit inside is thicker and larger than the others attached to the splitter. However if I can just get 1 and get started I think it will roll from there well.

IF I have a kick panel, it will be used.  If anyone know of a Vendor making these send them to me.  And by Vendor I mean places that actually MAKE it not resell it...

I replaced all the vacuum lines on my 66 Thunderbird a few years ago
And used new vac line and either colored tape or fingernail polish to mark the new lines to match the old ones
