Fuel filler extensions
« on: February 27, 2017, 08:41:16 am »
Cleaning up the fuel tanks on my 84 k10 yesterday I notice at least one of the extension pipes has rusted through.

My google-fu isnt very strong on this. Anyone know where those can be found.

ETA: i did find nearly complete refurb assemblies from filler neck supply

Exhaust pipe is what I've seen people use.

You could have a muffin shop bend some up out of stainless.

I have access to a pipe bender right around the corner so that will probably be the route. Thanks for the suggestions

I've never seen a metal one
But most of my experience is with step sides

But with no new replacement flexable ones available for step sides , we used radiator hose , which everyone said gasoline would disintegrate , but it has held up fine for several years so far

But any good muffler shop could make a replacement for your metal one

Were these metal pipes original? Im assuming so, my truck was lifted when I bought it but there is no body lift so they wouldnt be aftermarket extensions. Would new rubber hoses be long enough? They almost look like they were designed to be cut in half with the metal in the middle, just guessing here
