Ignition Switch - Actuator

I have a 1973 Chevy Stepside.  I had a tilt wheel that was very loose and when tightening I found several broken parts.  I opted to replace the entire steering column with a used non tilt style.  I have two different switches I have tried but neither seem to work.  The actuator rod doesn't line up with the switch.

Any thoughts?  One switch I have would work if it had an opening on the underside.
