Blue line gauges

On my 86 c10 fuel gauge the semi circle lines below the E and F are blue I have heard of blue line speedometers but never heard why they are blue. Im sure someone here has the answer. This is a great forum

can you post an example of what you are talking about.  Many early 77-80 had blue on them for metric markoff.
