87 r10 350 exhaust manifold plug

Passenger side smog tube by number 2 cylinder. It was deleted by previous owner, but just cut and pinched closed. Seems to be 5/8 18 thread but can't find a plug for it. Any help is appreciated

I've seen guys use brass plumbing fittings from Home Depot and just cross-thread them in there somehow.
