Hey Guys my engine is a 69 350 and it has the V-Belt setup and I am having problems with it throwing the alternator belt of at high RPM the belt looks straight, I want to check better tomorrow. Could it be just because it is a old belt?

Is the alternator bracket the original, or is it one that bolts only at the front. If it is flexing it will throw it. Is the belt cogged on the bottom? If not, a cogged belt usually works. Is the belt sitting in the groove or is it where you could pull it off?
