700r4 Unresponsive After Leak Repair

I too have an 87 R10 with the 700R4, fluid drained from speedometer gear housing, replaced the seals and refilled fluid and now reverse is working but I almost have to stand on the gas pedal to get it to move, any ideas on the cause?

Did you recheck the fluid level with the engine running and transmission in park?
