New to Forum from Germany

Hello,
my name is Martin, I´m from Germany, nearly the middle between Frankfurt and Heidelberg.
Kindly excuse my poor english, especially technical terms are not easy for me.
I`ve got a Chevy-Truck last year, from the abatement of a very good friend, Joachim. He died suddenly and devised the truck to me.
It´s an ex-M1008 from 1986, "civilized" to a blue K30 with 37" and an 3" bodylift and got an 454 Chevy BB a few years ago, after the diesel injection pump (is this the correct description?) died.
The truck needs still al lot of attention, the electric system is an evil salmagundi of cropped cabels, cabels, coming from the nowhere and going to the nowhere, not one cable does its actual job.
Neither the engine doesn´t look like an "common" engine looks, I´ve got a notion, that the alternator is not at the proper position, but couldn´t find a plan or drawing for that.
Well, I think I have a lot to read an have many questions to you until I´m able to answer questions of other "newbies" like me.
Thank´s a lot for your patience and for the forum admission.
Martin
