License plate light out:

i'm not getting any light on the right side(passenger side) license plate light (the one with the black wire).  This is the factory (or dealer installed?) step bumper.



i bought a whole new assembly and installed it , but still no light.  The old one was rusted out.   The left side/driver's side is fine.

Any ideas?

Usually a bad ground is the problem 99% of the time

Yes, it turned out to be bad ground.  i dremel-sanded both holes and there's no problem now.
