Starting your engine
« on: August 07, 2006, 11:44:00 AM »
My truck has been off the road for about nine months now while I worked on restoring it.  The engine is a 4.3 Litre V6 with almost 280,000 KM but ran like a charm which is why I've decided to wait a couple more years before rebuilding it.

What's best way to "pre-lube" the engine components before actually firing her up?

Thanks in advance.

Well, you "could" pull the distributor and prime the pump till you get Pressure before cranking it like you would before break-in.

I personally would just crank it.
