305 ho heads????

I have a set of heads with the casting numbers 14014416 I understand the valve and chamber size but woudl ike to know why they might have possibly been put on a 350 if 3 outa 4 site say there 305 heads  

 then what are the number for the ho 305 heads that i might to try a few tricks on and build a cheap little street motor

416 head- 58cc closed chamber, identifiable by a small camel hump mark on the front and back of the heads 1.74/1.50 or 1.84/1.50 valves.  Will raise compression ratio.  I am running 53cc 1.94/1.50 valve ported/polished  closed chamber heads.  I am pushing 11.3:1 compression.  It runs good, but avoid them like the plague if you want to be  able to afford gas.  Try to live at or just below 10:1 if you can.  I would go find some 487 or 993 casting heads and add a decent intake and some Hooker Competition series headers.  It will run great that way.

A lot of people put 305 heads on 350's to increase compression thinking it will increase performance.  Problem is they flow less due to the valve size and flow rating.  It is my opinion that this is a waste of time.
