I was recently doing a clutch replacement on my 1976 c10 stepside and I decided to replace the seals on my Saginaw 3 speed manual transmission while it was out of the truck. Whilst I was pounding off the rear extension housing some bearings popped out. They turned out to be the 14 loose mainshaft pilot bearings. I thought no big deal I can just put them back in. But they are destroyed. I have looked all over for replacements but cannot find any. Does anyone know where I can get some? I also need the gaskets for the transmission as the ones I ordered from rockauto were the wrong ones. Rockauto does sell a bearing and seal overhaul kit but it doesn't specify which roller bearings it contains. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

They are usually included in the "small parts kit" and usually be in 2 different sizes depending on what size you have. Not sure if you've checked ebay yet but sometimes someone will have the harder to find items on there. I have the similar 3 speed muncie (SM330) in my 74 and have managed to scrounge up an entire rebuild kit from here and there including ebay as parts are just about impossible to find for it. Good luck!
