big block frame mounts question
« on: January 27, 2007, 02:53:00 pm »
Hi all,
i recently won the below auction for a set of frame motor mounts for a big block truck.I went to match them to my frame and there not even close.I took the original pair and the bolt holes that bolt to the frame are also not even close.Am i missing something here?Does anyone have a parts decoder book in hand and tell me what these are for and if there for a 80-87 truck frame to tell me how to bolt these on?

thanks
pat

A) you don't need those brackets to convert to a BBC, you need the same V8 Brackets that were already in there, there is NO difference in BBC vs SBC brackets.
B) those aren't rare, they are 81-91 V series V8 motor mounts for a 4x4, the guy lied in the sale.

If you have a 4x2, you don't need those, they are for a 4x4 only.
