Power Steering and Headers

I'm having some Trouble with my Power Steering. Since i no longer have Exhaust Manifolds, part of my Power Steering Bracket will not Bolt Down. Headers Make all the Differance too. When i Really Step on it, it flexes the Bracket that holds the Power Steering. Now my Power Steering Pulley is out of alignment with my Crankshaft. Is there an aftermarket Braket kit that you can use with Headers, or do i have to use Manual Steering?

If so, you can still use a stock bracket, just use a two-inch spacer and a longer bolt.  The bracket will go on that way.

Or, if worse comes to worse, there are many how-to articles about retro fitting a sperpentine belt system in place of all your pulleys.

yes, that was the bracket that i meant. I was hoping there was a better solution. a spacer seems kinda flimsy. I suppose that it's better than what i have though. I guess i should go to Lowes and get a longer bolt with a Length of Steel Pipe. Thank you for Helping me.

Where there is a will, there is a way.  You can take a welder and fabricate it so that it will be more pleasant to the eye, without the spacer.  Cut the metal part off and re weld it closer to the head.  A little creativity can do wonders.

When I bought my long tubes, it came with a longer bolt and a spacer, ceramic coated to match the headers. I will look and see if I can find it. I ended up using one of these;

Yeah, that does look nice. I might Change to that in the future. I did get my Power Steering working Properly and i don't think that it will continue to twist, but i'll definately dress it up later. Next i'm going to try to convert to Power Brakes, but i think that would be more complicated. I think i need heavier duty hardware for that setup. My Standard Brakes work fine, but there's nothing like Power Brakes.

I do the above with the tube spacer but I weld it to the braket, just gives it a cleaner look.
All you should need is the booster, booster bracket, and the rod that comes off the brake pedal. When you get the booster bracket froma donor vehicle. Keep in mind the nuts that hold it in place went from SAE to metric 82 / 83ish. Not positive on the year could be a bit before or after this.
