Parking Brake Cable Issue
« on: June 10, 2022, 12:49:21 PM »
Hello, I just mocked up a 6.0 and 4L80 trans in a 78C10, 2wd.  The trans is out of a van and has he factory steel pan.  The parking brake cable is up against the bottom of the trans pan.  Although it will work and would prob never rub through since I never use the parking brake is there an alternative to this original style set up?   I have the LS swap motor mounts and cross member.  I searched for a long while for a different style or upgrade and found nothing.  Any ideas?   Has anyone else came across this during a swap?   Thanks.

Pixs might help clarify the problem.  Perhaps you could fabricate a cable guide to slightly reroute the cable.

In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
