Carb Replacement
«

Need to replace my carb on the '73 C10 with stock 350 / 350TH
What would be a good and simple replacement?
Holley, Edelbrock etc... ?
Thanks

A rebuilt Q-jet is a good preference for me. There is a place not too far from me that I take mine to and haven't had any issues so far. In fact, I am going to have them rebuild mine soon.

I've always been a Holley guy, mostly because I like the adjustability.

Always had fantastic luck right out of the box with these....

I'm a Qjet guy myself.
Roy, what does your guy charge to rebuild?
What is your zipcode?
Thanks! JP

The last time was about 7 years ago. It was 225.00 at that time. Not sure if it has gone up a little since then. Will find out soon. Zip code 76039.

I have owned squarebody trucks since 1989. Ive never seena better all around carb than a Rochester quadrajet. Ive had them on my 4x4 for ages and they just go and go. I recently rebuilt the one I had on my 1978 Scottsdale so I can put it on a new 383 I built. You can find them very cheap on craigslist. I would invest in a rebuilt kit.
Best of luck!

In my experience fighting to get a proper running carburetor, my problems were solved once I got a Holley. I was stubborn and kept trying to get a quadrajet to run right, I gave them a fighting change, multiple rebuilds and remans. Always ran bad in some way. So I'd say just grab a Holley 4160 lol.

I think Carter was better than Rochester.
