Ah, C'mon, do it right. Washers b/w the door and hinge isn't fixing the problem. Your hinge pin will still be wearing into the metal on the hinge, requiring a new hinge later. Get the right fix kit to get the new spacers/pins and rebuild the hinge. It only take about an hour or so if you don't already have to resize the hinge by drilling a bigger hole in it, if it has started the oval out. You can get an oversize kit for it too.
Putting washers b/w the door and hinge only covers the problem up.
You can go to the HELP center of any auto parts store and get the right GM hinge kit.
